The course will address the following topics:

Topic 1. Introduction: The consolidation of the imperial system (1st to 3rd centuries A. D.). From unitary Empire to its desintegration. Institutional and ideological aspects.

Topic 2. The institutional, political, and religious transformations of the 3rd and 4th Centuries A. D.).
